Apparel Production Coordinator

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA or BFA in Fashion Merchandising, Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred or at least 3 years of product and apparel production experience
  • Basic understanding of garment construction as well as technical knowledge of production preferred
  • Basic understanding of fabric types and costing requirements of garments preferred
  • Highly Proficient with Adobe Suite, primarily Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, primarily Excel & Outlook
  • Strong email communication
  • Must be proactive and possess the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Must have exceptional organizational skills
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Accustomed to a fast-paced environment
  • No job too small mentality

Main Responsibilities

  • Follow-up with vendors to ensuring development & production samples are executed correctly and timely
  • Communicate daily with overseas offices and vendors to track development and production statuses
  • Assist production manager and pattern maker in keeping product development report (PDR) updated
  • Maintain debit memo reporting
  • Assist in maintaining Production Dashboard
  • Own log of approved price master sheet – reviewed monthly
  • Work with logistics and PO department to update freight cost changes
  • Ensure on time delivery of production and samples by monitoring WIPS
  • Provide the Logistics department with shipping documents, TOP (Top of Production) approvals, and vendor shipping confirmation for prompt delivery
  • Communicate with vendors/factories to ensure tech packs, production sample delivery, development items, shipping documents, and cost sheets are completed accurately and on-time
  • Review development items with Supervisor before sending items to vendors
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure on time delivery on Marketing, Salesman Visual, and TOP samples
  • Own purchase order creation, item and color master logs, sample organization
  • Follow up on vendor bulk shipment bookings
  • Comment on, organize and file, as needed, bulk production submits.
  • Maintain style information in PLM and Fulfil Maintain style information within Excel workbook Create a tracking report for pending information from production handoff meetings
  • Maintain internal QC Report Receive, process, and track all inbound/outbound parcel shipments --Follow up on any additional tasks and duties requested by manager
  • Assist in QC standard setting and information recording
  • Collect artwork and inspiration for sample and future development

This role will provide the production support to all cross functional areas of the business including design and technical design teams. This is inclusive of but not limited to – purchase order management, time and action monitoring, bulk submit comments and approvals.
